Information for all members

Due to the ongoing uncertainty regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19), we would like to inform our members of the following guidelines, in a bid to prevent the spread of the virus amongst our members.

1. We will update members via the text service, Facebook and this webpage of any impending changes to events, as and when we are provided with information from the organisers.

2. Until further notice, we have suspended all social meets.

3. Tips for working at home and insulation can help with your general wellbeing.

What happens if an event is cancelled? shall advise you via text message, Facebook page and via this webpage for any steps you need to take if an event is cancelled.

We shall seek advice from the event organisers regarding their refunds policy in this situation.

We have currently purchased tickets for Brooklands, Spring Action day, MINI Factory tour and MINI Cooper Register day., shall not be able to issue refunds until such a time that the organisers of an event has refunded us.

Please be prepared to wait for your refunds, should these become necessary, as this will take them some time to organise.

As soon as any event refunds are returned to us, we will pay them back to you.

If an event is cancelled and you have paid for your Public Liability Insurance we shall also issue a refund for this, along with your ticket refund.

I have a question?

We shall publish your questions and answers below.

Staying safe

First and foremost check out the NHS website for the latest guidance.

You need to isolate yourself and stay indoors for at least 7 days after your symptoms started.

Find out more about how to self-isolate. Please read and follow this guidance carefully to protect others.

To protect yourself and others, do not go to a GP, pharmacy or hospital.

If you are on public transport:

  • Go home by the most direct route.
  • Stay at least 2 metres away from people if you can.

If you’re away from home:

  • Find a room where you can close the door.
  • Avoid touching people, surfaces and objects.

What happens after 7 days?

If, after 7 days, you no longer have a fever and feel better, you can go back to your normal activities.

The cough may continue for some time after this even though the infection has cleared. You do not need to stay at home because of a cough if you feel well and have no fever or shortness of breath.

If your symptoms have not got better in 7 days, use this tool again before you have contact with anyone else.

Call 111 if you become so unwell that you have to stop doing everything you normally do (eg watching TV, using your phone, getting out of bed).

Make sure you select the option to speak to someone. Tell them you are calling about possible coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms.

The phone service will be very busy but you must wait until you get through.

How do I treat my symptoms?

You can look after your symptoms at home by:

  • Resting.
  • Drinking plenty of non-alcoholic fluids.
  • Taking paracetamol or ibuprofen.

If you, or someone you know, is not yet registered for Patient Access, please visit this link.
